Message From the President

Welcome to the Essex County New Jersey Association of Chiefs of Police website. Our Site contains information on our association, classes of membership, events and some links to resources. I hope you find this information helpful and informative.

The main purpose of our organization is to facilitate the sharing of information among all twenty-two municipal police departments in the county, the Sheriff’s Department, the Prosecutor’s Office, other law enforcement agencies within the county, such as university and hospital police, the Port Authority and New Jersey Transit police and federal law enforcement agencies including the FBI, DEA, ATF and the Secret Service.

The association membership consists of current chief executive law enforcement officers, retired chiefs, associate members in law enforcement and supporting members, who have no direct affiliation with law enforcement, but who support our goals. If you have an interest in joining us, I encourage you to fill out and submit an application for membership.
